I am Sándor Ambrus pottermaster, I was involved in all areas of pottery in 1960’s and 70’s. I worked  in the clay industry and at the majolica factory. Then I went to Budapest where I worked for handicraftsmen. In 1989 I founded my own workshop and since then I have been working as a contractor. I formed my own style from the forms and treasures of the 19th century’s folk ceramics. My works keep the traditional form and colour of the „Csúcs” potters who used blue glaze on white base. It is  worth mentioning that the ribbed and formed plates  were the famous works of the „Csúcs” potters at the end of the 19th century. I do lot of experiments with clay and paint. Green ceramics, ink wells, gourds, different kinds of plates etc. are avoking the world of the earliest ceramics, which were their own representation in their age. In the centre of Hódmezővásárhely, in my house I have designed my 60m2 exhibition hall where some of my special works can be seen, and sometimes some works of other potters can be visited here as well. There are shows and you can hear about the history of  pottery. Our guests can pedal, paint and knead clay and try their hand at this art.
